Sony "revising strategy for the PS3"

In a recent interview with Sony President Ryoji Chubachi he says,
"We are re-examining our [PS3] budgeting process in terms of pricing and volume. Sales assumptions change and the market is competitive. We are in the midst of revisiting our strategy for the PS3."
You know, just in case everyone else in the world hadn't figured it out yet. The system costs too much, stores can't sell them, people do purchase the systems of your competitors (which are both at a cheaper price), and Sony continues to hemorrhage money.

Though nothing is set in stone, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see a forthcoming PS3 price cut, possibly bringing it down to the level of the XBOX360, as it's only a slight jump, but a significant one regardless.
