The Last Guy Everywhere... Web!

To promote the upcoming Sony release The Last Guy for the Playstation Network (as of this article the title has already seen it's Japan release) the company has launched a web-based version of the game.

Here's the setting. You're a hillbilly err... mountain man in the Himalayas. Life is good as you hide from society. But oh noes! A space laser has come down and turned everyone who was in the daylight into zombies! I hate zombies!

Conveniently enough you, being the intrepid mountain man you are, decide to wander down your mountain and begin saving survivors by bringing them to safety while you are slowly changed into a zombie yourself.

It's the kind of story that makes you understand why Evangelion's original ending made little to no sense, but hey, it's a pulp science fiction plot with zombies. I'll bite.

So the website game allows the denizens of the internet to put in damn near any existing site and then the Sony site creates a level based around the empty space.

You control your hillbilly *cough* I mean mountain man and then wander around the website finding civilians while evading zombies and other forms of sordid evil.

The controls are fairly simple. Move by moving the mouse cursor. Dash by holding the left mouse button. Press C to crowd your civilians together. Hold the space bar to make the zombies disappear revealing only the humans. And you can zoom with the mouse wheel.

The game is quick and simple but pretty fun. I suggest checking it out.
