Hacker brings DirectX 10 to WinXP
With the release of Windows Vista, Microsoft is attempting to make the newest version of DirectX 10 proprietary to that operating system alone, forcing people to upgrade if they want the newest DirectX libraries.
Well this is where an enterprising young hacker (Cody Brocious, 19) has decided heck no! Currently he claims to have found the missing link and bridged the software to run on Windows XP machines and a pre-release of his work is available on his blog site.
The catch here? He requires that you download and install 7 *.dll files into your Windows System32 folder. Hehehe, tricky bastard.
I'll post the link, install this at your own risk.
